The Mayor of Reigate and Banstead helped to celebrate St George’s Day with a good turnout of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. This was held in the grounds of Reigate College on Sunday 22 April and the idea was to have a fun day with activities for all to try their skills. The Mayor was very pleased to mix with the young people and to join in the activities. A passport system was used to manage the crowds, which worked very well. The weather at this time of year is notoriously difficult to predict but fortunately the rain held off. The day was rounded off in the sports hall in traditional style with everyone celebrating St. George and reaffirming their Scout promise.

A big thank you to all the Groups that supplied and ran activities for everyone to take part in and also to Reigate College for letting us use their splendid facilities. Thanks must also go to Reigate Scout Network for the car parking and marshalling, which prevented chaotic scenes.
